Small Business Social Media in Rockford
Got out the old credit card again this past weekend, and bought a couple of programs, one called Mobile Local Fusion, and the other Amazon Fast Cash. The folks marketing the programs and the experts featured in them were folks I am familiar with, who I trusted to provide me a tidbit of two or more about some aspects of internet marketing that I am not knowledgeable about. I have read many e-mails from the marketers, actually, so I have developed some know like and trust for them. In spite of the Get Rich Quick naming, especially the latter program, I am quite pleased with what I learned. In fact, I know even have a Kindle book published on Amazon. The hardest part of that process was getting an approval from Amazon’s U.K. affiliate because it would not load correctly. I had not even considered that an important part of my marketing but I do know, because I have a over 800 pages of content on my counseling website that I can re-purpose for Kindle. While it would be great to sell a few of those Kindle books, the SEO and cachet from indicating to folks that I have books available at Kindle could be of great value to my Start Up Social Media business. That business is about as small as it can get, just me and my outsourcers. And that is the way I want it. I am in business to own my own time, and fool around with my family.
Mobile Local Fusion gave me a sense of the bigger picture for mobile from the consultants viewpoint, and it is big. She provided some very excellent insights into factors that can be a part of the starting up social media for your small business or small town business using mobile. Google just changed their approach to Google Local last week. And Laura says within a years time, you will be using your phone to pay bills, not a credit card. Right now folks leave their house with their wallet and keys and phone, and maybe before too long we will not need to take our wallet. A truely digital world. She also says smart phones will be very low in price. Can’t wait for that. But in the meantime I need to finish creating my sales letter and get my marketing for this business off the ground. Back with more in a bit. Social Media is heating up in Rockford.
