Rockford Social Media News-Who Has Taught You The Most?

Rockford Social Media News-Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Profitable New Year

Looking forward to going into two my Christmas presents rather deeply, Trust Agents and Social Media 101 by Chris Brogan. I have always enjoyed reading his work online, and I am very curious about what I will discover in his books. I have had time since we opened presents this morning to read the appendix to to Trust Agents and I already have homework. Actually what author Brogan is saying is, don’t read this and then put it on the shelf, make good use of it.

So how will you use social media for your business this year? What strategy will you be developing to bring customers to your business using Social Media? What is your marketing plan and how does social media fit in? Who are the thought leaders you follow the most? The New Year is a good time to contemplate those questions and perhaps to pick some tools to try out in the next year.

John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing and Ken Evoy of SBI or Sitesell fame are also successful online business folks whose guidance you can count on to be candid and helpful. Both Dr. Ken and Mr. Jantsch are actively involved in social media marketing, and their examples are excellent for us less experienced folks to follow for online or offline.

If you want to look at two extremely helpful and very successful Social Media Marketers, I suggest you follow along with Tina Williams and Maria Gudelis. They are like artesian wells of creativity and are extremely generous with their time and expertise. Tina and Maria are the folks who certified me as a Social Media Campaign Specialist and if you want to join us in the Social Media consultant business, then click on the link to the right of this blog, and you can access their training. Be prepared for a whirlwind though.

Like I said customer service is the name of the game for all the folks I speak of above though. Sort of like the Golden Rule. Good thing to remember on Christmas and throughout the New Year.
