Rockford Social Media News-Start Up Social Media Workshops!

Rockford Social Media News-

Since I was invited to participate as a bit of a Social Media advisor by the founders of Ladies in Professional Power,  in particular Tammy Livingston of ThreeGs Clutter, and Daisy Botti, I have had the chance to work with a number of entrepreneurs who are at various stages of social media and/or blogging development,  and several have suggested that I offer a class for a more formal learning environment,  an environment that might allow for a more systematic presentation of social media tools.

Although I have been building my own social media connections for Ask Mike the Counselor2 since the fall of 2008, and Logan Counseling since April of 2010 (for  Julie and myself), and doing this blog and its social media accounts since Aug. of 2010,   I did not really have a plan for how to present a workshop or teach a class in place until June of this year.

However, I am ready now.

If you are ready to start up your social media, please join me at my office for a sequence of three hour workshops to be held on Friday mornings,  8:30a.m. to 11:30a.m. beginning Friday July 8th,   getting ready to head into the holiday season.

My goal for each workshop, and more can be added if there is demand,  is for a limited number of participants to bring their laptop to the workshop and walk out with a profile built and a functioning social media tool in place.

Why should you consider social media and online marketing as part of your marketing plan?

Many social media tools are free,  and they are assets on your balance sheet, which means you can sell them if you want.    With the right Search Engine Optimization, I can reach folks every day who are in need of my solutions.  Not only can I market my own services, but I can make money from affiliate marketing, joint ventures, and Google adsense for example.  That income will come to my family as long as there is an internet for example.   Got an e-book to sell?   You can offer it all over the world 24/7.  Social media tools allow me to take immediate advantage of trends and are exceedingly flexible.

But most of all, it is fun,

So call me to register,  I want to keep the number of participants low, perhaps 10-12, so that everyone actually gets the attention they deserve, and leaves with a new marketing tool in place.

The cost is $30.00 for the general public, and $20.00 for members of Ladies in Professional Power.

If you have a subject that you would like to see covered, please let me know.  Mike

My office number is 815-484-0946, which is the number for Logan Counseling too,  just leave a message, or message me at StartUpSocialMedia on Facebook.

P.S.  I can do Skype sessions too, for individual sessions, and I can meet with you individually for coaching.
